June Dairy Month kept the Mobile Dairy Experience (MDE) on the road, sharing the story of New York dairy with students, families, and communities across the state. From school visits to community celebrations, the Moo Crew spent the month creating hands-on experiences and meaningful conversations about dairy farming, technology, sustainability, careers, and the people behind our favorite dairy products.
Camden Central School – June 3
The month kicked off with students at Camden Central School stepping inside the MDE to explore dairy farming in a whole new way. Students tested their skills on the milking simulator, discovered career opportunities, and learned how science, technology, and care come together on today’s dairy farms.
Northern Adirondack Central School – June 5
The Moo Crew headed north to continue celebrating Dairy Month with Northern Adirondack students. Through interactive stations and conversations, students discovered there is always something new to learn about the dairy industry from the farm to the products they enjoy every day.
Union Springs Ag Day – June 8
Union Springs welcomed the MDE for a full day celebrating agriculture with students and the surrounding community. After school tours wrapped up, families joined us for an evening community event, continuing the conversations and connections.
A special thank you to the Union Springs FFA members for their support throughout the day and Scipio Springs Dairy for bringing a calf for visitors to meet.

Norwich Central School – June 11
Students at Norwich Central School became dairy detectives for the day, exploring the journey dairy takes from farm to table. Thank you to the Dickey family for joining us with a calf, giving students the opportunity to create a real connection with the animals and people behind dairy farming.
Meredith Dairy Fest – June 13-14
The MDE spent the weekend celebrating all things dairy at Meredith Dairy Fest! Surrounded by farmers, families, and dairy supporters, visitors explored the trailer, asked questions, and celebrated the dedication behind New York’s dairy industry.
Onondaga Grown CNY Regional Market – June 18
The MDE joined the Onondaga Grown kickoff event at the CNY Regional Market to celebrate the farms, food, and families that make up Central New York agriculture. The event created opportunities for consumers to connect directly with agriculture and learn more about the farmers behind the foods they enjoy.
Hudson Valley Food Truck Fest – June 21
Food and farming came together as the MDE joined families at the Hudson Valley Food Truck Fest. Visitors discovered the connection between their favorite foods and the dairy farmers who help make them possible.

Burton Street Elementary – June 24
Before summer break, Burton Street Elementary students explored the many opportunities within dairy. From discovering how everything on a dairy farm has a purpose to exploring the Building the Future Careers Corner, students learned there is a place for everyone in agriculture.
Zoe’s Ice Cream Barn 10-Year Anniversary Celebration – June 27-28
The Moo Crew wrapped up Dairy Month celebrating one of dairy’s favorite treats — ice cream! The MDE joined Zoe’s Ice Cream Barn for their 10-Year Anniversary Celebration alongside local farmers, vendors, antique tractors, and animal experiences.
Families explored the MDE and connected the ice cream they love back to the cows, farmers, and care that make every scoop possible.
Looking Ahead
June Dairy Month may have come to an end, but the Mobile Dairy Experience still has quite the summer ahead! Thank you to the schools, event hosts, FFA members, Dairy Ambassadors, farmers, volunteers, and partners who helped make this month possible.
We can’t wait to continue traveling across New York and sharing the story of dairy, one stop at a time.
