Mobile Dairy Experience
NYAAC’s Mobile Dairy Experience (MDE) features state-of-the-art technology, captivating imagery, and immersive activations for all ages.
The 53-foot, double-expandable trailer is “driven by New York dairy” and was made possible with support from family dairy farms and agriculture partners across the state, including funding provided through the New York Dairy Promotion Order Advisory Board.
When fully set up, the trailer transforms into more than 1,000-square-feet of exhibit space that is a full sensory experience for students, fairgoers, and ALL to enjoy.
This impactful and unforgettable exhibit is on the road – visiting schools, fairs, festivals, and all sorts of venues to share the facts about dairy!

What started as a hope and a dream over a decade ago is now a reality! With contributions, donations, and support from NY dairy farmers and agribusinesses, NYAAC has collected funding to build and take dairy on the moo-ve through the 2025 tour season. However, to keep the motor running and the wheels turning, NYAAC needs your help!
The Mobile Dairy Experience is available for scheduled visits to schools, county fairs, festivals, and other events across the state. You can submit a request for the MDE by clicking the ‘Inquire Here!’ button below. *Requests do not guarantee the Mobile Dairy Experience will attend an event.

Five different sections found inside the trailer include:
Dairy Farming Basics
- Understand how cows are cared for at all ages, from newborn calf to mature cow.
- Witness the texture of diverse cow bedding options and feed ingredients.
- Listen to and watch videos showing tours of the different elements of a dairy farm.
Environmental Sustainability
- Engage in a hands-on activity showing a dairy farm’s nutrient cycle.
- See imagery of the science-based stewardship practices farmers implement to protect the land and watersheds.
- Listen to and watch videos highlighting the expert partners who work with farmers to protect New York’s natural resources.
Technology
- Learn about robotic machinery and technology that help modern dairy farms remain efficient.
- Read about collars, cameras, and computers and their role in supporting cow health.
- Listen to and watch videos that feature different technologies utilized on the farm and in the fields.
Making Dairy Products
- Engage in a hands-on puzzle to learn the steps to making milk. A light will turn on with every correct puzzle piece. Witness as the wall fills with “milk” once the puzzle is complete!
- Interact with and learn about different dairy products. Scan QR codes to learn about the health benefits of milk and other products.
- Listen to and watch videos showcasing different dairy products and the steps required to make nutritious and delicious milk!
Future Farmers
- Understand the diverse career opportunities available within New York’s dairy industry.
- Immerse yourself in the touchscreen TV to witness farmer spotlights and a video by the NYS Department of Labor that showcases career opportunities in dairy.
- Listen to and watch one of the other six TVs to learn about diverse career options found on and off the farm within the state’s dairy industry.
