Dairy Cow Birthing Center

The Dairy Cow Birthing Center, hosted by the New York Animal Agriculture Coalition (NYAAC), is a free educational exhibit and one of the most sought-after attractions at The Great New York State Fair.

This year, the Great New York State Fair will take place Wednesday, August 21 through Monday, September 2, 2024. Hundreds of thousands of fairgoers can witness the miracle of life and meet family dairy farmers throughout the annual 13-day event in Syracuse, NY. For those unable to join us at the Fair, a live stream of the Birthing Center will be available right here on our website, as well as on our YouTube.

2024 Birthing Center Sponsors

“Having a farm that has believed in the work we do from the beginning and is willing and happy to share their cows with the public is what the Dairy Cow Birthing Center is all about. Four of the six Host Farms that participated in 2023 helped launch the Dairy Cow Birthing Center ten years ago, and we’re thankful that they returned to celebrate a decade of advocacy and dairy promotion!”

More than Calves

In addition to welcoming “uddermiracles” into the world, the Dairy Cow Birthing Center provided supplementary opportunities for visitors to learn about the NY dairy industry.

The Wall of Knowledge showcases the benefits of dairy products, agricultural career opportunities, and how farmers care for their animals. It is just one of the many exhibits found at the Dairy Cow Birthing Center.

More than 8,000 people have signed up to receive text message alerts with updates from the Birthing Center, offering real-time news of an upcoming birth at the NYS Fair, and other happenings taking place at the Birthing Center.

Through exhibits, like the Wall of Knowledge, text message alerts, and a live stream from our tent, NYAAC continues to positively impact visitors both near and far.
