April was a bustling month for the Mobile Dairy Experience (MDE), with six impactful events across New York State. From hands-on ag days to school fairs and Earth Day celebrations, the MDE met thousands of students, families, and community members, sparking curiosity about dairy and connecting consumers to the people and animals behind their favorite dairy products.
Here’s a look back at where we went and what we accomplished:
Chenango Forks Schools Ag Day – April 4
Binghamton, NY
We kicked off the month with a vibrant Ag Day at Chenango Forks, drawing over 530 attendees across both school and community hours. During the school day, students rotated through engaging stations like maple sap boiling, beekeeping, and a petting zoo. The MDE stood solo during the evening community event, but remained front and center, thanks to nearby sports games and high visibility from parking areas and neighborhoods.

Spencer, NY
Rain couldn’t dampen spirits at this three-day school circuit. Our team packed up and moved the MDE daily to reach the high school, elementary, and middle school. Each age group brought something unique, from energetic elementary students to attentive middle schoolers. A small but meaningful community event capped off day three.

MOST Earth Day Celebration – April 18–19
Syracuse, NY
Earth Day weekend at the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) brought two days of free-flowing learning and discovery. Friday was a bit quieter, but included a guided tour for local science campers. Saturday’s celebration, rain and all, brought in big crowds and board member support. Emma from ADANE brought Cabot cheese samples, and Peanut the calf stole the show.
