Do you know a student who dreams of becoming a large animal veterinarian? NYAAC is thrilled to once again offer the Aspiring Veterinarians Program at the Dairy Cow Birthing Center at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.
This exciting program gives high school juniors, seniors, and college students the rare opportunity to shadow experienced veterinarians during live animal care and public engagement. Participants will learn firsthand what it takes to work in animal agriculture while gaining valuable insight into the veterinary field.
From performing wellness checks to witnessing calf deliveries, the shadowing experience is both educational and inspiring. Students will also be encouraged to ask questions and get advice on their own path to vet school.
