As the calendar flips to 2025, the New York Animal Agriculture Coalition (NYAAC) is ready for an exciting year filled with impactful projects and initiatives. We asked some of NYAAC’s leadership team to share what they’re most looking forward to in the year ahead, and their enthusiasm is contagious!
Joel Riehlman, NYAAC Chair
For Joel Riehlman, the essence of NYAAC’s mission is captured in one powerful phrase: “by fostering a dialogue with the consumer.” He reflects, “It is the essence for why NYAAC exists.” One of the most thrilling milestones for 2025 will be the debut of the Mobile Dairy Experience (MDE). Joel explains, “The debut of the Mobile Dairy Experience will exemplify this vision through a vehicle that can take our message on the road directly to the consumer!”
Joel also highlights the incredible support NYAAC receives from the industry and beyond. “I am always amazed at the level of support NYAAC receives from volunteers who believe in the work the organization does. From the Dairy Cow Birthing Center to service on committees and to those who assist in the success of the MDE, we have the absolute greatest volunteers!”
Steve Palladino, NYAAC Vice Chair
Steve Palladino is equally energized about the Mobile Dairy Experience. He shares, “I’d love to see this really get out there and be seen. Figure out what is great, what is ok, what we need to do to make this a gold-starred project. I want to see it in Albany and NYC for sure.”
Steve is always looking ahead. “I am always looking forward to what WE, NYAAC, comes up with next. We need to focus on MDE and the Dairy Cow Birthing Center but we can never stop thinking of ‘what’s next.’ We have some creative minds and we go after what we feel will make an impact.”
Eileen Jensen, NYAAC Executive Director
Eileen Jensen, NYAAC’s dedicated Executive Director, shares her excitement about seeing the Mobile Dairy Experience in action. “I am looking forward to seeing the Mobile Dairy Experience visit communities throughout New York State. It’s exciting to see the programs that NYAAC is passionate about come to life to help people gain a better understanding and appreciation for animal agriculture.”
The excitement around the Mobile Dairy Experience is felt by everyone, but it’s only part of the story. NYAAC’s leadership is committed to innovation, growth, and delivering impactful initiatives that connect New York consumers with the reality of animal agriculture. From the bustling streets of New York City to the rolling countryside of upstate New York, 2025 promises to be a transformative year for the coalition.
