What a summer it has been for the Mobile Dairy Experience (MDE)! From July through August, our team traveled across New York to county fairs, food festivals, and community celebrations, bringing dairy education to tens of thousands of people. Whether it was a curious toddler learning how to milk our simulator cow, or a family discovering how dairy products fuel their favorite foods, the MDE connected people of all ages with New York dairy farmers and cows.

BIG Trucks & Tractors Weekend – Old McDonald’s Farm
– Sackets Harbor, NY | July 5–6, 2025
A sunny first day and a warm welcome at Old McDonald’s Farm kicked off our July events. With Holstein calves nearby and families eager to explore, the MDE blended perfectly into this farm-themed weekend. Even on day two, when the heat slowed crowds, the team enjoyed meaningful conversations about dairy farming.

Taste of Buffalo
– Buffalo, NY | July 12–13, 2025
Record-breaking numbers! The MDE welcomed over 5,000 people through the trailer during the state’s largest food festival. Our team had engaging conversations with one of the most diverse audiences yet, and the visibility in downtown Buffalo was unmatched. With more than 175,000 impressions, this stop set the bar high for the rest of the summer.

Seneca County Fair
– Waterloo, NY | July 16–19, 2025
A rainy start couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm at the MDE’s first county fair! By the weekend, crowds picked up and families loved trying their hand at the milking simulator. Host partners helped create a welcoming, farm-focused atmosphere that left visitors smiling.

Saratoga County Fair
– Ballston Spa, NY | July 22–27, 2025
Six days of fun and learning! From meeting stilt walkers to welcoming NYS Ag Commissioner Richard Ball, the Saratoga County Fair provided nonstop action for the MDE team. Located right near a main entrance, the trailer drew large crowds daily, with thousands stopping to learn where their milk comes from.

The Glorious Garlic Festival
– Geneva, NY | August 2–3, 2025
Garlic wasn’t the only star of this festival! Families and couples took time between garlic tastings to explore the MDE and discover the role dairy plays in their everyday lives. Positioned by the only entrance and exit, plus visible from NY Highway 20, the trailer reached thousands of event-goers and commuters alike.

The Great New York State Fair
– Syracuse, NY | August 20–September 1, 2025
What better way to wrap up summer than at the Great NYS Fair? Located next to the Dairy Cow Birthing Center, the MDE helped guests build on what they learned after witnessing a calf being born. From quick walkthroughs to in-depth conversations, our team shared dairy’s story with thousands over nearly two weeks.
